…WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH LATE THURSDAY NIGHT…

* WHAT…Heavy snow possible. Plan on difficult travel conditions.
Possible damage to trees and power lines. Total snow
accumulations of 1 to 2 feet above 7500-8000 feet with localized
higher amounts along the crest. Accumulations below 7500 feet
are more uncertain and depend on how fast snow levels fall
Thursday, but 4 or more inches are possible.

* WHERE…Greater Lake Tahoe Area.

* WHEN…From Wednesday afternoon through late Thursday night.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Significant reductions in visibility are
possible.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Now is the time to prepare an emergency kit for your home and
car. If traveling consider alternate plans, remember to carry
tire chains, extra food, water and clothing. Once the storm
arrives, travel may be difficult or impossible for an extended
period of time.
